GLIMMA is a global brand consultancy firm with offices in the UK, United States, India, Hong Kong, and Brazil. Experts in strategy, branding, and marketing, specialising in implementation and technology, GLIMMA has an international reach and an impressive roster of clients from around the world.
Of course, any company as dedicated to branding and marketing as GLIMMA requires a website that grabs their clients’ attention the moment they reach the home page. That was the task laid before us: to create an online experience that was visually stunning, easy-to-navigate, and, above all, one-of-a-kind.
Here’s how we went about it…
Website Design
A great site starts with a great vision, and the team at GLIMMA knew exactly what they wanted their new website to look like. We worked closely with their design team to flesh out their original vision and come up with practical ways to make it a reality.
We took their branding and design elements from Adobe XD and created a unique web-based environment for them to come alive. This is not a site based on a typical WordPress theme; the entire thing was built from scratch, making it a true one-off.
Website Build
We collaborated with the creative agency to design a set of user interface designs that would keep the company’s core branding intact.
This was coded with the WordPress CMS, creating a set of user interface designs that would allow the GLIMMA team to edit individual site components themselves thanks to a system of custom fields.
Unique Functionality
While many websites rely on a simple blog-style approach for posting new content, such as new items and articles, GLIMMA had specific functionality in mind.
They required specific posts to be pulled through to different categories and displayed on different areas of the site. This would allow them to use new content to cross-sell related services across the website. Our technical team was able to provide the exact functionality they needed, creating their own custom code to handle the task at hand.
Flexible and Functional
The final result was just what our client wanted—an intuitive and user-friendly working space that they can post regular updates to without further assistance.
The site itself is visually dynamic and simple to use, giving a positive user experience to new and repeat visitors alike. Behind the scenes, it is flexible enough that they can build their own page designs and templates, which they can then incorporate into the site.
