RCFR

As a start-up business, RCFR were at an immediate advantage. We didn’t need to rebuild their brand, or work around an existing website. It was a fresh start, meaning we could build their brand from the ground up. A brief consultation confirmed RCFR wanted us to create a brand identity and set up their website. That’s where the fun began.

Branding

Branding is crucial to the success of any business. This is particularly true in two of the more cut-throat service industries – finance and recruitment. It’s no wonder RCFR (or Rotherham Carrington Financial Services, to give them their full title) needed help. Wisely, this Chester-based start-up enterprise came to Be Bold Studios.

Creating a logo from scratch is tremendous fun. We began with three designs, which we presented to RCFR. In the end, they chose the one we were most proud of. Designed to mirror a long addition formula, it delivers a knowing wink without being too jokey.

Its simple aesthetic fits in perfectly with the industry, with a strong uppercase font drawing attention. We went with dark grey and orange for the colours, as they complement one another well. They’re both rich, sumptuous colours that evoke images of wealth and class.

WEBSITE

We built the site using our preferred Content Management System, WordPress.

RCFR wanted to stand out from other recruitment sites, something we achieved in a couple of different ways.

We maintained the colour scheme from the logo throughout the site to keep continuity with the brand. Secondly, used a grid-led design structure that allows the main vacancies to pull through to the home page.

PHOTOGRAPHY

We wanted the photos to demonstrate the professionalism of the team and the quality of the brand. We refuse to use stock photos for the site.

Instead we took shots of the RCFR team in their natural habitat.

This had the advantage of including the logo in the photos, on headed paper and the like. This trick keeps the company brand front and centre at all times.
